Summit Montessori School seeks an experienced Upper Elementary teacher for a full-time position beginning August 1, 2022. The ideal candidate will be a fully credentialed and experienced Montessori Upper Elementary teacher who has graduated from a MACTE accredited teacher education program. We seek a motivated individual with strong organizational and communication skills who values working as a member of a dynamic and creative team.


The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the Montessori Upper Elementary curriculum and will be adept at managing the classroom systems (planning and record keeping, classroom management, assignment and assessment of completed work) that support the functioning of a successful Montessori UE classroom. Candidates must have or be willing to gain proficiency with classroom technology support systems such as Transparent Classroom and Google Classroom.


Candidates must hold the minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and a Montessori Upper Elementary credential. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated toward professional development, and able to work successfully and collaboratively in a team approach. Summit, a 26-year-old school housed in a beautiful historic mansion in Framingham, MA, currently enrolls 100 students, ages 2-12. Summit is a welcoming community that values diversity of all kinds. Summit holds accreditations from the American Montessori Society and the Association of Independent Schools of New England.
