Description
Summit Montessori School seeks an Upper Elementary Assistant teacher for a full-time position beginning August 1, 2022. We seek a motivated individual with strong organizational and communication skills who values working as a member of a dynamic and creative team and who delights in the 9-to 12-year-old age span.
The ideal candidate will have experience working as a teacher or assistant teacher in an Upper Elementary classroom and will be adept at supporting the classroom systems (environmental preparation, record keeping, classroom management) that support the functioning of a successful Montessori UE classroom.
Qualifications
Candidates must have or be willing to gain proficiency with classroom technology support systems such as Google Classroom.
Candidates must hold the minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and have some classroom experience, preferably but not necessarily in a Montessori classroom. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated toward professional development, and able to work successfully and collaboratively in a team approach. Candidates may qualify for school support in gaining Upper Elementary teacher training.
