Description
Andover School of Montessori, located in Andover MA, is seeking a passionate, creative teacher who has the desire to design and deliver a project-based Humanities curriculum suitable for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students and has the ability to utilize various teaching strategies effectively. Classes range between 6 - 9 students, so the teacher has the opportunity to provide quality, differentiated instruction and build meaningful relationships with his/her students. The candidate will also be willing to take on exciting opportunities to promote the Middle School. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and communicate with parents effectively is highly desirable.
Qualifications
The candidate should have strong writing and communications skills and a solid understanding of history, writing, language arts and the vast genre of literature connected to various historical events. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team in helping to develop and nurture students’ critical and innovative thinking skills. The candidate should have an appreciation and respect for the social and emotional development of adolescents and their individuality. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and communicate with parents effectively is highly desirable.
