Andover School of Montessori, located in Andover, MA, is seeking a substitute to cover maternity leave for the middle school Science/STEM/Math teacher. This position runs from August 21, 2023 through December 18, 2023. This is an ideal opportunity to work with adolescents in a small class-size setting. he substitute will work with the current teacher for 2 weeks as a way to get to know the students, curriculum, and classroom routines. The substitute will also accompany the middle school students and Humanities teacher on a four day, overnight, environmental camp in September.

Qualifications

- At least three years experience working in a middle school educational setting - At least a Bachelor's Degree in teaching - Montessori certification - Solid understanding of pre-algebra and science topics that cover the introduction to chemistry and cells taught at the middle school level - Work collaboratively with faculty and communicate with parents effectively
