Description

We are looking for an after-school teacher to work in the afternoons at Lexington Montessori School. Children have fun outdoors and indoors when necessary at the end of their school day. Teachers guide children's independence and choice, provide a safe, caring environment and create/share activities. The hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays — 2:45–5:00 pm and Thursday 11:30 am–5:00 pm, with opportunities to work additional hours during, conference/vacations, substitute teaching, and summer programs.

Qualifications

Strong Candidates will have: -A commitment to creating and sustaining an inclusive, equitable positive classroom environment where all students feel a sense of belonging. -Collaborative approach; able to work well within a team. -Ability to make informed and sound judgments regarding students’ well-being and safety. -Creativity, flexibility, and resourcefulness; physically able to participate in activities with students outdoors and indoors.
