Description

The Montessori Assistant Teacher plays a critical role in the smooth running of the classroom. They are responsible for supporting Lead Teachers through the preparation and maintenance of the classroom environment; tone-keeping so that children may receive uninterrupted lessons; and helping to manage snack, toileting, and transitions between environments. Hours are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

* Montessori training or experience preferred * EEC Teacher certification preferred * Confident, capable, playful, patient, well-organized, flexible, professional, dependable * Love and respect for children * Strong desire to be part of a team * Willingness to collaborate with others * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing * Spanish language skills a plus * CORI/SORI, fingerprinting background check certification
