Description

As Lead Teacher, you will lead a classroom of up to 7 children, plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities facilitating active Montessori learning experiences. You will create learning opportunities that support every child's cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical development. In addition, you will build relationships and communicate regularly with families to support each child's development. In this role, you will support one -two assistant teachers and report directly to the Head of School. We are looking for a few special teachers that understand the unique needs of infants.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred • Two or more years of experience teaching children as a lead teacher or guide. • AMI, AMS Certificate or MACTE-accredited institute preferred Or Familiarity with REI philosophy and methods. • Ability to meet all credentialing criteria for lead early childhood teachers in Massachusetts. (MA EEC) • Ability to meet all additional training and eligibility requirements of Massachusetts, including clearing background checks, with required documentation eligibility and training completion. • Experience monitoring and maintaining accurate records on the progress of indi

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, salaried position. • The full salary range for this position is for 10 or 12 months $28-35.00 per hour (Based on qualifications) • Hours are 7:30-4:30 or 8:30-5:30 • This role includes ten paid days off (PTO) federal Holidays, and Massachusetts State holidays and vacation weeks that follow the Newton Public Schools (Thanksgiving, Winter break, February vacation week, April vacation week) • Scheduled breaks, seven paid PTO days • Medical, dental, Life, and vision insurance.
