Description

Wellan is seeking a passionate educator to provide focused student support in our Grades 1-3. This position is available immediately on a full time schedule Monday through Friday from 7:30am – 3:00pm. Open to part-time schedule if necessary. The 1:1 Aide provides individualized student support while working closely with teachers to ensure learning standards are met. The 1:1 Aide must excel at taking shared responsibility for creating and maintaining an appropriately challenging and supportive learning environment for children with disabilities/special education needs. Additional responsibilities may include: facilitating and modifying lessons and activities, and more.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of relevant experience required. Experience working in special education. Experience working in a Montessori environment preferred. Bachelor’s degree or beyond in Special Education or a related field preferred. Candidates pursuing education, licensure, or training in Special Education are also encouraged to apply.
