Description

Wellan is seeking an experienced educator to support our Elementary classrooms. This is a full time position available immediately. The Elementary Assistant Teacher provides classroom teachers with support in all aspects of classroom operation. The Assistant Teacher will work with classroom teachers to prepare the environment, including making classroom materials and other instructional necessities. The Assistant Teacher may also plan and implement curriculum for the children under the guidance of classroom teachers. The Assistant Teacher will support classroom teachers in maintaining an orderly, safe, and appropriately challenging learning environment for students.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of relevant experience required. Experience working with Elementary age children required. Experience working in a Montessori environment preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
