Description

The Vineyard Montessori School, a non-profit independent school founded in 1975, serves children from Toddler through Grade 8 on Martha's Vineyard. Located in downtown Vineyard Haven, VMS is seeking experienced Primary Teachers with Montessori MACTE certification, either completed or in progress, for a full-time, year-round position starting August 2025. Ideal candidates are passionate about early childhood education, possess a growth mindset, and demonstrate mindfulness and care.

Qualifications

Job Requirements: * Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) or American Montessori Society (AMS) certification * Must be 21 years of age or older and EEC Lead Teacher Certified * B.S. in Early Childhood Education & teaching experience preferred * Must possess effective communication techniques and the ability to relate and communicate to children, staff, parents and Head of School * Must possess the ability to provide a classroom management style that is predictable, respectful and peaceful.

Benefits

Salary range for this position is $65-$80K/year and is determined by the candidates prior experience Benefits: Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, tuition discounts, paid holidays and 7 weeks paid vacation
