Description

Andover School of Montessori is seeking a passionate Mandarin Teacher for our summer program. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging and interactive lessons, fostering a love for the Chinese language and culture. Key Responsibilities: -Develop and implement an interactive curriculum for grades 1-3 in the first four weeks, followed by grades 4-6. -Create lesson plans incorporating games, songs, and cultural activities to make learning Mandarin enjoyable. -Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and language use. -Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure a cohesive summer program experience.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated proficiency in Mandarin (both written and spoken) and the ability to teach to a variety of learning styles. - Experience teaching language to children, preferably in a Montessori or similar educational environment. - Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. - Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching and learning. - Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and students.
