Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated maternity leave teacher substitute to join our vibrant community immediately through the end of the school year in June 2025. As a Montessori School, Thacher is committed to creating an inspiring and engaging environment that nurtures a profound passion for discovery in our students. We educate and empower our students and staff, encouraging them to be proactive contributors to our close-knit community. Each of our classrooms, is led by a Montessori-trained teacher assisted by a second faculty member. The school is AISNE and AMS accredited for all ages and recognized at the 3-6 level by AMI.

Qualifications

Candidate Qualifications: *AMI or AMS Montessori diploma at the Children’s House level (3-6) *At least three years of Montessori teaching experience is preferred. *Understand and embody Montessori pedagogy and effective theoretical application. *Flexibility in addressing students’ needs. *Positive classroom management techniques *Joy, passion, and motivation in your work *Commitment to JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) *Excellent observation skills and writing skills *Professional, articulate communication skills with families and colleagues. *Sense of humility and sense of humor
