Description
The Westwood Montessori School in Westwood Massachusetts is seeking an assistant teacher, for hire for the 2024-2025 school year. Located 10 miles west of Boston the WMS is in it's 22nd year of providing a nurturing and peaceful environment for children 2.9-6. The school offers an authentic 5 day Montessori morning as well as early morning care beginning at 7:30 and extended day programs until 5:00pm.
Description:
To work along side the Lead Montessori Teacher in all aspects of the classroom experience. WMS is a Montessori preschool and childcare program open Monday-Friday from September-June. The school enrolls 38 students ages 3-6.
Qualifications
College graduate-preferred
Experience with preschool children-required
Montessori experience-preferred
Health and CORI requirements
EEC teacher certified
Position hours: 8:00-3:00 (4 days)
8:00-5:00 (1 day)
Total Hours: 37
Benefits
Salary negotiable
10 sick/personal days per year.
CPR and First Aid training- paid by WMS.
Workshops/professional development –paid by WMS up to $500.00.
Tuition and extended day exemption for 1 child.
